FAQ
BM Discounter is a comparison platform for building materials. You search and browse products, compare specifications and public supplier offers side by side, and request quotes. Buying always happens with the supplier, not on BM Discounter.
No. BM Discounter is not a shop: there is no cart, no checkout and no payment processing. Once you have chosen a product, you follow the outbound link to the supplier and complete the purchase or quote request there.
No. Prices and availability come from public supplier information and can lag behind a supplier's live webshop. Offers marked quote-required show no price at all. Always confirm the final price, stock and terms with the supplier.
An account for individual users. With a personal account you can save products, build comparisons and write product reviews.
An account type for companies — for example suppliers, brands, manufacturers, contractors, architects and wholesalers. You apply with your company details and the BM Discounter team reviews the application before the account is approved.
Suppliers, brands, manufacturers, contractors, architects, wholesalers and other professional organisations active in or around the building-materials trade.
You submit an application with your company details. The BM Discounter team reviews it and you receive the decision by email. Until approval, the business account is not active.
Verification confirms that the address is really yours. During registration we email you a 6-digit code; entering it completes the verification. This protects your account and keeps unreachable or mistyped addresses out of the system.
During business registration you receive a verification code that confirms your phone number. This ensures the contact details in the application are correct; the team may use them during the review.
Yes. One email address can hold one personal account and one business account. They are independent accounts, each with its own settings; closing one does not affect the other.
Suppliers can pay for extra visibility in clearly marked slots. Every sponsored placement carries a visible label, and sponsoring never changes product facts or the organic ranking. The full policy is on the Sponsored Placement Disclosure page.
Use the correction form — every product page links to it, and it captures the product, the seller and the offer alongside your description, which is what a reviewer needs to check the entry. Corrections are processed against the source data, so a confirmed fix carries through everywhere the information appears.
You can request deletion from your account settings. The BM Discounter team processes the request; your personal data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
Use the forgot-password option on the sign-in page. We email you a code; after confirming it you can set a new password.
