These terms govern your use of the BM Discounter comparison platform. By using the platform you agree to them. Effective date: 30 July 2026.
BM Discounter is a comparison platform for building materials. You can search and browse products, compare specifications and public supplier offers side by side, and request quotes.
BM Discounter does not sell products and does not process orders or payments. There is no cart and no checkout — every purchase takes place directly with an external supplier, under that supplier's own terms and conditions.
You may use the platform if you are at least 16 years old. If you use the platform on behalf of a company, you confirm that you are authorised to represent that company.
The platform offers personal accounts — for saving products and comparisons and writing reviews — and business accounts for companies such as suppliers, brands, manufacturers, contractors, architects and wholesalers. Business applications are reviewed by the BM Discounter team before they are approved.
Registration requires verifying your email address with a code we send you. Business registration additionally confirms your phone number with a verification code. The same email address may hold one personal and one business account; they are independent of each other.
You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential. If you suspect unauthorised use of your account, notify us at info@bmdiscounter.com.
Use the platform for its intended purpose: researching, comparing and contacting suppliers about building materials. Treat other users, suppliers and the platform's systems with reasonable care.
When using the platform you must not:
Product information and offers come from public supplier sources and from data the platform team maintains. The catalog is actively being verified; despite our care, entries can be incomplete, outdated or incorrect.
Nothing on the platform is an offer by BM Discounter to sell. Displayed information does not replace the supplier's own product information, and we do not guarantee its accuracy or completeness.
Listed prices and availability are indications based on public supplier information and may lag behind a supplier's live webshop. Offers marked quote-required carry no displayed price.
The final price, stock position and delivery terms are always determined by the supplier at the moment of purchase.
Organic results are ranked by objective criteria such as relevance and listed price — never by payment. How ranking works, and how the cheapest offer is determined, is described on the How We Rank page.
Suppliers can pay for clearly labelled sponsored placements. Sponsoring never changes product facts and never alters the organic ranking. The full policy is set out in the Sponsored Placement Disclosure.
Account holders may write product reviews and attach photos or videos. All reviews and media are moderated before publication; we may decline or remove content that violates these terms or applicable law.
You retain ownership of the content you submit and grant BM Discounter a non-exclusive licence to host, display and translate it on the platform for as long as it is published.
Reviews must reflect genuine experience. Fake, paid-for or incentivised reviews are prohibited and will be removed.
The platform — its structure, design, software and editorial content — is protected by intellectual-property rights and may not be reproduced without permission.
Supplier names, brand names and logos belong to their respective owners. They identify whose offer or product is shown and do not imply a partnership or endorsement.
The platform links out to external supplier websites. Those sites are governed by their own terms and privacy policies; BM Discounter is not responsible for their content or for the transactions you enter into with suppliers.
We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, applicable law or the integrity of the platform. Where reasonable, we will explain the reason.
You can request deletion of your own account at any time from your account settings; the team processes the request.
The platform is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, BM Discounter is not liable for damage arising from reliance on displayed prices, availability or specifications, or from transactions concluded with suppliers.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under Dutch law, including liability for intent or deliberate recklessness. If you are a consumer, your mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.
We may amend these terms, for example when the platform gains new functionality. The effective date at the top of this page always shows the current version. Where the law requires, we announce material changes before they take effect.
These terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands. Disputes are submitted to the competent Dutch courts — without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections that entitle you to a different forum or law.
